In 2012, Carlos Cadena took over Finca Huehuetepan from his mother, Veracruz specialty coffee legend and pioneer Rosario Irais Valdivia Ortiz. That same year, Carlos placed in Mexico’s Cup of Excellence competition, marking the start of a bold new era for this highly regarded legacy finca.
This exceptional blend from Finca Huehuetepan reflects Carlos’s dedication to innovative processing methods, undergoing an extended anaerobic fermentation of up to 200 hours. This allows for the development of incredibly complex aromas and succulent, juicy flavors. A clean and creamy yet vibrant cup with a layered sweetness and an elegant profile, we taste blueberry, sweetened yogurt, and rum.
